Jocelyn Rogers is a dedicated teacher who is skilled at connecting with her students. Jocelyn is passionate about teaching and helping her students to make progress, reach goals, and inspiring them to become life-long learners. After graduating from UVM in 1990 with a BS in Elementary Education, Jocelyn spent 20+ years teaching in a variety of settings including public and private school classrooms and home childcare. She then made the decision to pursue her dream of starting her own educational services business, and in 2013 she started Educational Opportunities with Jocelyn Rogers.
Jocelyn loves the time she spends working with students in a one-on-one setting for private tutoring, and also loves teaching the classes and camps she offers to small groups of students. By utilizing many different teaching approaches, Jocelyn strives to make the lessons she teaches engaging and enjoyable, as well as relevant for her students. Jocelyn incorporates hands-on learning through activities, games, and creative projects to best reach the preferred learning styles of her students. In this dynamic learning environment, Jocelyn sees students feeling supported and having success with their learning. She also sees students that feel excited about learning new information and eager to learn more. As an educator and teacher, these are Jocelyn’s primary goals.
